For a hotel, social media and other digital channels are an important part of its communication with future guests. They give people a first impression of the property, its standards, atmosphere and the kind of stay it offers. That is why photography and video should reflect not only the hotel itself, but also what is happening there at a particular time of year. When autumn arrives but social media is still filled with endless summer imagery, it can create the impression that the hotel’s digital presence is not being properly maintained.

For Mas de Bruno, the task of this hotel photography shoot was specifically connected to the transition into the colder season. The goal was to update the photographs and short videos, with a focus on autumn lifestyle photography, food & beverage and spa. Props were prepared in advance, and seasonal details helped create the right atmosphere before the colder weather arrived.

A hotel does not always need a large-scale shoot. With a clear understanding of the task and good planning, a single shoot day can provide enough new photography and video for an entire season.
